Description
Overview
The D24V7F3 is a compact fixed-output step-down voltage regulator module from Pololu’s D24V7Fx family. It is a synchronous buck converter that drops any supply between 4 V and 36 V to a regulated 3.3 V rail at up to 600 mA continuous, with a switching topology that is far more efficient than a linear regulator when the input-to-output difference is large. The module has three connections, VIN, GND and VOUT, on a 0.1 in pitch, and includes short-circuit and over-temperature protection but no built-in reverse-voltage protection.
Technical data
- Topology: Synchronous buck (step-down)
- Output voltage: 3.3 V (4 % accuracy)
- Continuous output current: 600 mA
- Input voltage range: 4 V to 36 V
- Switching frequency: 1.1 MHz (reduced at light load)
- Quiescent current: < 0.01 mA (most of operating range)
- Protection: Short-circuit, over-temperature
- Dimensions: 8.6 Ã 13.7 Ã 4.1 mm
- Weight: 0.5 g
- Connections: VIN, GND, VOUT (0.1 in pitch)
Applications
Deriving a 3.3 V logic rail from a higher battery or bus voltage on embedded control boards, sensor modules, telemetry and payload electronics, robotics and small unmanned platforms where board area and quiescent current matter.
