Typical applications
Sleeving at this diameter is used where a whole assembly has to be covered rather than an individual core: bundling and jacketing of large multi-core looms, covering busbar joints and large lug terminations, re-jacketing damaged outer sheaths on heavy cable, and sealing the tail of a large connector back-shell. The 2:1 ratio gives enough recovery to pull down over a connector body or lug and still grip the smaller cable behind it, and the 1 m supplied length allows individual sleeves to be cut to the run without buying a full reel.
