Listed under part reference 138-00025, this cable tie measures 3.5 mm across the strap and 198 mm in overall length and is moulded in PA66 — polyamide 6.6, the nylon grade that is the industry default for cable ties because of its combination of tensile strength, stiffness and resistance to the oils and solvents encountered around machinery. The tie is the conventional one-piece self-locking design: a serrated strap passes through a head containing an integral pawl, which engages the serrations so the loop can be drawn tight and will not release. PA66 is hygroscopic, and its flexibility and strength vary with moisture content and with temperature, which is why ties for continuous outdoor exposure are normally specified in a UV-stabilised black grade. The 3.5 mm width sits in the light-to-medium band, and the 198 mm length sets the maximum bundle circumference the tie can close.
