Overview
The 3M Ultimate FX FF-400 Series is a reusable full facepiece respirator built for comfort and a wide field of view. Its large polycarbonate lens carries an abrasion-resistant coating, while the faceseal, nose cup and head harness are moulded in silicone. A six-point harness with 3M’s Comfort Cradle positions the mask on the head, a passive speaking diaphragm aids communication, and the 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve reduces heat and moisture inside the facepiece. Twin bayonet connections accept 3M’s range of gas and vapour, particulate and combination filters. The series is made in three sizes (FF-401 small, FF-402 medium, FF-403 large); the size supplied against reference 50051135894243 is confirmed at quotation.

Applications
Full facepiece reusable respirators are used with the appropriate filters or cartridges for paint spraying, composite and resin work, solvent handling, welding fume, grinding and abrasive blasting support, chemical handling and maintenance tasks in aerospace MRO, defence workshops, manufacturing and industrial plant. Filter selection, fit testing and a respiratory protection programme remain the user’s responsibility.
