About the D38999/26WC35SN Circular Connector
The D38999/26WC35SN is a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector. In the /26 slash sheet the part is a free-hanging straight plug: the W class denotes an aluminium shell with electroless nickel plating rated to +175 °C, C is shell size 13, 35 is the insert arrangement giving 22 contact cavities in size 22D, the S denotes socket contacts and N the normal key position. Termination is by crimp, so contacts are crimped to the conductor and inserted into the insert, and the connector mates by a triple-start thread that gives rapid, positive coupling with a defined mated position. Distributor data gives a nominal voltage rating of 400 V AC / 550 V DC and a current rating of 5 A per size 22D contact. Contacts and backshells are ordered separately.
