About the M85049/39S17W Backshell
M85049 backshells couple to the rear of a circular connector to support and strain-relieve the cable entry, and depending on the slash sheet they also provide sealing and EMI/RFI shield termination. The /39 slash sheet is the 90-degree strain-relief backshell with cable clamp; the companion /38 sheet covers the straight version. M85049/39 hardware is specified for MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and Series IV connectors, with self-locking variants recommended for high-vibration installations.
