Typical applications
The half-inch size sits between conductor-level and bundle-level work: recovering to .250 in, it covers heavy-gauge single cables, multi-pin connector tails and small breakouts that a quarter-inch sleeve will not start over. Specified clear, it is the choice where the termination has to stay legible — over labelled splices, identification bands and colour-coded conductor groups that get inspected repeatedly.
