About the DT06-6S-C015 DT Series Plug 6-Way 16
The DT06-6S-C015 DT Series connector is the six-position plug housing in the DT range, supplied in grey and designated for 16 AWG conductors. The DEUTSCH DT series is an environmentally sealed thermoplastic connector family used in vehicle, industrial and defence wiring harnesses. DT06 marks the plug half; the S marks a housing that accepts socket contacts, so it mates with the six-way DT04-6P receptacle carrying pins. Six cavities is the largest of the common DT sizes and is where the family stops being a simple point-to-point fitting and starts acting as a small breakout: a single connector can carry two or three independent circuits plus a shared return. That density makes correct contact seating harder to confirm by feel alone, which is why the six-way wedgelock — required, as on every DT housing — earns its place as a seating check. Contacts and the W6S wedgelock are ordered separately.

Typical applications
Six-way sealed plugs are used where several related circuits leave one assembly together: multi-element sensors, lighting clusters with separate side, stop and indicator feeds, or a control module interface on a small subsystem. On deployable equipment they frequently form the disconnect point between a chassis harness and a removable module, so the whole module can be unplugged with one connector. The higher cavity count also makes them a common choice for the interface between a cab harness and a body or trailer harness.
