The 1698-01C is a panel-mount USB extension from DataPro’s 1698 series. Each assembly carries a panel-mountable USB Type-A female connector on one end and a standard USB Type-A male connector on the other, so an enclosure, console or rack can present a serviceable USB port on its outer face while the plug end lands on a host port or board header inside. DataPro lists the series in eight lengths under the part numbers 1698-0006C through 1698-15C; the -01C code in this designation is the 1 ft version.
