About the 31811 Ring Tongue Terminal, 4 AWG, M6
TE Connectivity part 31811 is an uninsulated ring tongue terminal from the AMP SOLISTRAND series, sized for 4 AWG (21 mm²) stranded copper conductor with an M6 (1/4 in) stud hole. SOLISTRAND terminals are one-piece copper crimp terminals; this part is tin plated and is applied with a standard crimp onto the prepared conductor, giving a solderless, gas-tight electrical and mechanical joint. TE’s product data lists an operating temperature rating of 170 °C and cross-references the military terminal designation MS20659-111 for this size. Published dimensions give an overall length of approximately 30.5 mm, a tongue width of 12.7 mm and a stock thickness of 1.78 mm.
