Part 5024390600 is a six-position rectangular connector plug housing from the Molex CLIK-Mate 502439 series, built on a 0.079 in (2.00 mm) contact pitch. It is a free-hanging, in-line housing — that is, it terminates a cable rather than mounting to a panel or board — and it accepts crimp-terminated contacts that are ordered separately from the housing. The insulator is moulded in polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and the housing is finished in white. Retention to the mating half is by a latch lock, so the connection resists being pulled apart by cable movement and is released deliberately by depressing the latch. Because the contacts are crimped and then inserted, individual circuits can be extracted and replaced during rework without disturbing the rest of the loom.
