Overview
The RFD900x is a compact radio data modem from RFDesign that forms a transparent serial link between two or more units. It belongs to the RFD900x/RFD868x modem family; the unlocked RFD900x is fully user-configurable, while region-locked variants (AU, NZ and US suffixes) ship with restricted settings for their markets. The design combines frequency-hopping spread spectrum, diversity-switched antenna ports and a serial UART interface with GPIO in a lightweight module, and is configured through AT commands or the manufacturer’s tools.
Applications
Telemetry data links, unmanned aircraft command and control, remote weather stations, long-range remote control and industrial machine-to-machine communication, wherever a lightweight bidirectional serial radio link is needed over several kilometres.
