Description
Bode 100 – Vector Network Analyzer — BOLTON SKU 66565.
About the Bode 100 – Vector Network Analyzer
The OMICRON Lab Bode 100, item number P0005755, is a vector network analyzer covering 1 Hz to 50 MHz. Beyond transfer measurement it also operates as a frequency response analyzer and gain/phase meter and as an impedance analyzer, so one instrument covers the loop-gain, transfer-function and impedance measurements that power-electronics and passive-component work generally require. Receiver bandwidth is adjustable from 1 Hz to 5 kHz, which lets the operator trade sweep time against noise floor on low-level measurements. The low-frequency start point at 1 Hz is the characteristic that separates this P0005755 vector network analyzer from general-purpose RF network analyzers, which typically begin in the kilohertz or megahertz region and cannot resolve control-loop behaviour at all. The instrument is PC-operated through OMICRON Lab measurement software; probes, injection transformers and impedance test fixtures are separate items and are quoted on request.

Typical applications
Instruments of this class are used for control-loop stability measurement on switched-mode power supplies, characterisation of filters, inductors, capacitors and transformers, power-distribution-network impedance measurement, and general gain and phase work on analogue circuits. The impedance-analyzer mode covers component measurement without a second instrument. Because the sweep starts at 1 Hz, it also covers the very low frequency behaviour of feedback loops and magnetic components.
