The T0054471199 XT KN soldering tip is a knife-profile tip from Weller’s XT series, ground at 60° with a 2.0 mm working dimension and an overall length of 45 mm. A knife tip presents a straight chisel-like edge rather than a point, and that edge is what makes it a drag-soldering tool: the operator loads the edge with solder and draws it along a row of pins, wetting each lead in one pass instead of touching them individually. The same edge geometry is equally useful in reverse — drawn along a bridged row it carries excess solder away. The XT series pairs with Weller’s higher-power 120 W handpieces, and this tip fits the WXP120 and WP120. Its greater thermal mass compared with a fine conical tip is the point: it holds temperature while working across a whole row of joints or into a component with significant heat sinking behind it.
