Description
TS101 Smart Portable Digital USB Type-C OLED Screen, Blue — BOLTON SKU 61457.
About the TS101 Smart Portable Digital USB Type-C
This is a pocket-sized smart soldering iron and the successor to the widely used TS100. The original blue ts101 smart portable iron takes power through either a USB Type-C port or a DC5525 barrel jack, accepting roughly 9 to 24 V from a USB power-delivery source or a DC supply, and is rated up to 65 W. Tip temperature is adjustable across 50 to 400 °C and is shown, along with live status, on an on-board OLED display. The heating element and temperature sensor are built into the tip cartridge, so the iron reaches setpoint quickly and recovers between joints without a separate base station — which is the point of the format: a technician can carry the iron and run it from the same USB-C power bank or laptop supply already in the bag. Temperature presets, sleep and standby behaviour are set through the on-iron menu and the firmware is user-updatable. It is supplied with a B2 tip.

Typical applications
An iron that runs from USB-C power delivery is chosen for field and flight-line electronics work, UAV and RC repair, cable and connector rework in a vehicle or shelter, and bench use where there is no room for a full station. The 400 °C ceiling covers leaded and most lead-free work on small joints, while the interchangeable TS-series cartridges let the same handle move between fine-pitch and heavier tip geometries.
