About the Solder Wire Rosin Core 0.8 mm
Sn63/Pb37 is the eutectic tin-lead solder alloy, meaning it passes directly between solid and liquid at a single temperature of 183 °C with no plastic range in between. That sharp transition is why the alloy remains the reference for hand soldering and rework: the joint sets cleanly and is less prone to disturbance during solidification than near-eutectic alloys. This wire is supplied at 0.8 mm diameter with a rosin flux core, the flux occupying 1.8% of the wire by content as stated on the item record. The flux is carried inside the wire so that it is delivered to the joint at the moment of melting, removing surface oxide and allowing the solder to wet the metal. A 0.8 mm diameter is a general-purpose size for through-hole and larger surface-mount work. Reel weight and flux classification should be confirmed on the enquiry.
