Grade 260 — UNS C26000, commonly called cartridge brass — is a copper-zinc alloy of nominally 70% copper and 30% zinc. It is the most ductile of the common brasses, with an excellent combination of strength, cold-working performance and corrosion resistance, which is why it is the standard choice for drawn and formed small tube, bushing and sleeve work.
